Avon Valley Relay
After a highly successful 40th Anniversary relay, Avon Valley Runners welcomes you to the club’s 41st event. We have decided to retain many of the features of the Anniversary relay and we are also responding to feed back with some other changes. The 2027 event will start and finish at Trowbridge Rugby Football Club and take in Semington village, the canal tow path and Whaddon Hill. This remains a hand over baton event of approx. 8km with teams of up to 4 runners. This is an excellent opportunity to get a team together and have a go at a traditional baton relay in some lovely countryside. AVR will be fielding a number of teams but we very much welcome other clubs as well as individuals who have come together for the event. More detail to follow.
Race Permit: Event will be ARC permitted and have Canal and River Trust consents

Tea, coffee and licensed bar available.
Team Size: Up to 4 people per team. If you have 2-3 people your team must complete 4 laps to be eligible to win. No solo entries.
Minimum Age: 13+ on day of race.
Limited entries on the day, subject to availability.
Timing: this is not a chip-timed event.
Prizes: This is a strip back event, prizes will be modest but practical.
